Unmess is a home cleaning and organizing service in Greater Boston. This page explains our text message program: what we send, how you consent to receive it, and how you stop it at any time.
What we send.
If you opt in, we send text messages tied to a cleaning you have booked with us:
- Booking confirmation when your appointment is scheduled
- A reminder before your scheduled visit
- Crew status updates — on the way, arrived, or running late
- Occasional follow-up about a completed visit
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Every message relates to a booking you made.
How you opt in.
Consent is collected on our online booking form at getunmess.bookingkoala.com/booknow. In the Customer Details section of that form, directly beneath the phone number field, there is a checkbox labelled:
Send me reminders about my booking via text message.
Three things about that checkbox:
- It is unchecked by default. It is never pre-selected. You have to tick it yourself.
- It is optional. You can complete a booking without ticking it, and nothing about your service changes if you leave it blank.
- It is tied to the number you enter. We only message the phone number you provide on that form.
Frequency and cost.
Message frequency varies and depends on how often you book. A typical one-time cleaning generates two to four messages. Recurring customers receive messages around each scheduled visit.
Message and data rates may apply. Unmess does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier may.
How you opt out.
Reply STOP to any message from us and we will stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help. You can also email hello@getunmess.com or call (857) 239-1819 and ask us to remove your number.
Opting out of texts does not cancel your booking and does not affect your service. We will still reach you by email.
Your mobile information.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The phone number you give us is used to deliver messages about your booking and to let our cleaning crew reach you on the day of service. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
Message delivery is handled by our messaging provider solely to transmit these messages on our behalf.
